Starting with a list of all the colleges that offers teaching degrees, we used filters on College Navigator to tabulate only those that admit 60% of applicants or fewer and mandate minimum SAT critical reading and math scores of 500. Next, we organized these final contenders by net price, determining the 50 with the lowest overall costs of attendance. Keep in mind that “net price” is not synonymous with tuition; this value provides an approximate, comprehensive picture of cost by taking into consideration tuition, fees, room and board, average scholarship awards, financial aid, and other annual expenses.
